On Black Friday I went shopping with my mom and bought a pair of black boots. They're identical to my most favorite pair of brown boots that broke a few months ago. I wore them a few times to school and the white house before I realized that I had two different boots. Stop judging me! They're very similar and I got lots of compliments on them and everything.
A week or so ago I went back to the store to ask if they had the opposite pair tucked away in the back somewhere so I could purchase them. No luck.
Today I went back with a slightly less ideal plan to find the two types and make my own opposite pair. Sadly, they're sold out of one of the types. I decided to just go ahead and buy a black pair of the type they still had and a brown pair to boot. The sales girl said perhaps the manager would give me a discount. He scoffed and said maybe if I had brought them back in the box unworn. Rude.
I walked through the mall a little bit and then turned around. I figured I would just go on wearing the mismatched pair and return the black ones. When I got back to the shoe store the manager actually huffed and me and complained under his breath about how I was returning them five minutes after I bought them. I controlled myself and left.
But here's the problem. I've had some less than savory customer service interactions in the last several months (the car wash that damaged my brand new car among others). So, I tell them I'm not coming back and my family won't come back and I'll tell all my friends not to go there...but no one gives a shit. My dollar doesn't have enough power. In these giant businesses with multiple branches and tons of customers from miles around, no one cares where I send my dollar or if I ever come back. And it's kind of obnoxious and disappointing.
The end. Whine over.

Wickedness
Last night I was cooking up a storm for our super bowl party today. It was getting extremely late so I decided to take a quick shower. Somehow I forgot that I was in the middle of baking the rolls I was planning to use for slider buns and they overcooked. I only had enough rolls left for half a batch so I decided to go out after church today and grab some more rolls from the store. I didn't feel like it was a wicked decision because I was not going to ruin the feast I'd been working on for a bajillion years. It's not like I go shopping every single Sunday or anything. Anyway, I went to the store and felt fine about it until I pulled back into my parking garage and realized I'd have to enter my apartment with a grocery bag. I contemplated how I might be able to hide my goods in my bag or pretend I had just left the groceries in the car the night before.
This is dumb. I know people will judge people for this kind of thing because I've heard it happen, but it's stupid. It's not that big of a deal if someone has to grab something from the store on a Sunday. So, those people can STOP JUDGING ME IMMEDIATELY. The end.

Thanksgiving and Etc.
Caroline and I are watching The Derby Stallion right now. It's awful. I'm not just saying that. It seems like a Lifetime movie that was made in 1993, not something that was made in 2005. Confession: Zac Efron is still attractive in this movie.
I wish I had a header for my blog. Maybe with some pictures or something with me and my friends or who knows, but I wish I had one.
I was lucky enough to have a great friend (Britt) offer me a place to go for Thanksgiving. At first I thought that maybe I would just stay home by myself and chill and possibly grab some Denny's for dinner. Then I realized that that would be supremely depressing and went to Britt's Mom's house with her and Kyle and her old roommate Nadia. Turned out to be such a fun time. It's so kind that there are people who will let other people invade on their family time for the holidays.
Caroline (she's been staying with me for the past couple days) went Black Friday shopping with me at midnight. It was crazy and she was such a good sport and I bought a tv online and some movies and a crockpot and a little food processor and it was awesome. I've also been doing some online shopping with the amazon.com deals and stuff.
I miss my family right now. They're crazy and obnoxious and irritating as all get out, but they're my family and I love and miss them.
Tomorrow is the Holy War. I'm SO pumped. I made two dozen chocolate peanut butter cupcakes (even though one dozen got eaten tonight) and two crockpots full of taco soup. Good football needs good food. Also, BYU basketball almost gave me a heart attack today, but we won and then I just had palpitations.

I'm Back!
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I left the blogging world for awhile (as some of you may have noticed), but I decided to come back. It feels good. In case you didn't notice, I'm already very excited for Christmas. I usually am excited for Christmas, but this year it's out of control. When you're little the excitement is for presents and Santa Claus, but now I'm excited to decorate and buy gifts for people and be in the malls and stores with the decorations, the music, and the thousands and thousands of frenzied shoppers. For some reason, even when I have no need to shop, I find it very cathartic to be among Christmas shopper's in that sort of setting. I'm weird. You'll learn that (if you don't already know). I'm in Provo, Utah right now. This time last year we had plenty of snow, but it's been strangely warm (in the 50s!). In one way, I like it. In another way, I'm ready for sweaters and scarves and wonderful things like that. I love winter clothes.
Next time, I will tell you about my silly winter desire.
